She just passed the bar in California. She says she's going to open a practice that mainly deals with contracts concerning entertainers and etc. I'm sure there are opportunities to meet famous people but being in close proximity to the 'sex, drugs, and rock and roll' aspect has got me a tad concerned. Is this a reputable field to be in?

My response:

It's a terrific area of law to specialize. As long as she's able to "make a name" for herself, she should do well - - it just takes years to do so. But, once she does, the rewards are wonderful.

Any profession can be as reputable or disreputable as a person makes it for themselves. Hopefully, she'll make the rest of us proud and never get into trouble with the State Bar.

Good luck to her.

Great to hear that. I'm glad that it isn't compared to 'bottom-feeders' like I hear personal injury lawyers are compared to.

Thanks.
