What is the name of your state? Nevada

My son is 7 years old an he got in trouble twice in school once in 1st grade and again today. He was asked to sign a paper regarding what happened each time without a parent there to look over what he was about to sign. My question is.. Is this legal for a minor to sign paperwork he can not read and without a parent present?

Thanks
Laura

Unless they're going to use this paper in some criminal prosecution, there's not any particular need for parental or other legal supervision as to his statement.
