A power of attorney is not "over" anybody. It is essentially an authorization to act on behalf of the principal.
Since your father is still alive your father is entitled to keep his money and do with it as he pleases. When he dies you may be entitled to a share of his estate but until that time comes; no, you are due absolutely nothing.
