My car was towed. I called and got the information that I was towed for. I had 8 unpaid parking tickets. 2 were in collections. I paid 3 online, 3 at the dmv with my registration. I called the citation processing center and got the number for the collections company. They said they had 2 tickets for a total that was less than the last eat amount. So I paid in full. Redondo beach police is now saying they won't accept this and are trying to collect more and won't give me my car. What can I do?

Pay what they want so that you can get your car back so that you stop accruing fees and then file a claim to have the additional amount refunded.
