I became worried about my son's mental health one night and asked him to go to the hospital. When he didn't go voluntarily, I figured the only thing I could do was call the mental health deputy to come out. They sent the EMT's and back police to help if necessary. My son decided that he didn't want to go with them go he started walking down the street when the police told him to stop and they were going to handcuff him. He didn't want any part of it and put up a little scuffle. The police threw him to the ground and took him off to jail. He stayed over night until 7:00 p.m. the next night. They charged him with evasive arrest. He is doing great now. Trying to get his life together. The DA's letter came. I called to see if I needed a lawyer, just to find out that they also added resisting arrest. Do I need an lawyer. Can they add on charges like that. How much do I need to worry. His court date is soon. HELP!!!!!!
