What is the name of your state? Colorado

A MySpace.com singles account was set up using my e-mail address and incorrect information about me, although my physical characteristics were correct, the rest was what I call slanderous. The account was set up without my knowledge or permission. I have cancelled the account and contacted MySpace.com regarding what I need to do to obtain any and all information about how to find out who set up that account.

I have an appointment with the Denver Police Department, however, I think I may need to contact the local FBI.

Will the information be available to find out who set up the account and what are my rights/what actions can I take to prevent this person from doing anything of the sort again?

Thank you.

Contact MySpace

There have been many such cases reported recently. MySpace recently changed ownership and they appear to be making an effort to "clean up" fraudulent profiles. You definitely need to contact MySpace immediately.

My response:

There's more than probably nothing you can do, if your license number, or Social Security Number weren't used. All because someone used the name that YOU use, doesn't mean that anything more than a "prank" occurred. You never mentioned what damages you have suffered. Did you suffer any money damages? Were you accused of a crime?
