Went before the judge today for the final restraining order my ex boyfriend is really getting harrassing. Too many incidents can no longer ignore, the judge could see that by the police reports and testimony given byt the police officer and myself as well as his own testimony. He thought he was going to cream me today and have it that I am harrassing him instead the judge saw right through that and ordeered a risk assessment D.V. investigatoon and for a time has limited his visitation until further notice. This judge is gettin familiar with us so probably by the time we get before him for the whole custody thing he might have made his decsion more easily. Still waitng about the best interest evalution that also was ordered again today.

that is a small victory (of course, of the worst kind), but a good step for you. it shows that the judge is aware of his violent nature, or at least that the possibility of it is there. and it helps to protect the child.

now that the first part is over, take a deep breath and work through the rest. you are doing good.

i will keep you in my prayers.

Thanks Amber I have to say that it is the worst feeling in the world to have to go through the court process weather it be a restraining order or visitation hearing . I felt very sad yesterday when I walked out this is not what I expected nor wanted it to be like for our daughter, but I have been given no other choice I hoped that nonsense would stop ,but clearly after watching the display from him today while he was telling his friends about how he got screwed at court (no he was the required distance away from me) I realize once again that this will continue on so I guess Iam relieved that the retraints are in place it has started to affect my sleep ,my general well being, looking over my shoulder, that is no way to live. I hope he will learn to be a better person and some day put our daughter first and stop with the vindictive behavoir.I can dream can't I!!!!!!

Just want you to know I too, feel for you. My ex husband is not vindictive in a physical manner, but it's a really long story, but in other ways, and I, too, dream that SOME DAY he can put his daughter FIRST and stop trying to find every way he can to hurt me; after 14 years, it's like "get a life".....
