I live in New Jersey.

My mechanic parked my car in the wrong direction, N.J.S.A. 39:4-135. Court date is coming soon. How can I prove that I was not in possession of the car, and the mechanic is liable for the ticket?

Can I use a notarized affidavit to show that the car was in the mechanic's care?

Thanks in advance.
