minnesota hello a quick ????. 4 yrs ago my son was born,at birth a few of took blood tests 4 months later the results were hes mine. in the meantime his last name is same as his mothers. present time i was granted full legal and physical custody of him, is there anyway i can change his last name to mine thanks

You could petition the court to have it done. The question's going to be why is it so imporant now, when it wasn't 3 1/2 years ago?

at the time of birth a last name for the child need to be on the birth certificate. like i said i didnt find out until for months later he was mine. his mother had full custody, i was paying support blah blah. now she has been convicted of doing and selling crystal meth. we went to court in aug 02. i won the case for full custody. in minnesota they say the only way to get his name changed is if she agrees. last time i checked hell wasnt frozen. i was wondering about some kind of "loophole"

No, the court can change the child's name against the other parent's wishes, but you'll have to present compelling reasons for it to do so. Having full custody, you have a better than even chance to do so, I'd say.
