I live in Texas and may soon be divorcing. My name is not on the deed to our home. Might this be a problem for me even though I live in a community property state?
Thanks.

In Texas as a cummunity property state any thing purchased after marriage regardless of who purchased the item or whose name it is in, one or both, becomes cumminuty property. Exception would be if the purchase was made with "seperate property" money from before marriage and had been kept apart, not mixed in after marriage or community property monies.
