i bought a home in florida in 2008 with a co owner. Both our names were put on everything at closing, mortgage, note etc. We have since split & she has bought me out but my name is still on everything. I want it off asap! She hasnt the money to pay for refi. Can I pay to take my name off & put a lien on her house til she pays ne back?

Unless you can pay it off I do not see how that will help you, and if you can pay it off, then why does it matter if your name stays on things for now?

You made a blunder ....you remain liable to the lenders if she drops the ball...and your liability clouds your credit until the notes are paid off....you did it..you live with it .unless deal says otherwise ....

How did she "buy you out" without paying off your obligation?
