named in divorce

New Jersey-I have been named in my boyfriends divorce and I want my name out! I would also like to know if I have any legal recourse, ie. defamation of character. I was specifically name in the final divorce order as to not being permitted to babysit their 2 year old daughter but no restrictions on the 8 year old son. The Ex stated in mediation meeting that she was afraid I would poison their daughter. I have successfully raised 3 children(2 daughters) on my own and have managed not to poison any of them. There is no mention in the divorce regarding her boyfriend he babysits the children often. Please help

My response:

You can do nothing. Anything said in officially filed court papers, or orally stated in a courtroom, are protected and privileged.

Not that it matters, but what do you mean by "poison" ? With food ? Or, emotionally ?

If the judge has signed the Decree, with you being named, then that's it - - it's over.
