What is the name of your state? Ohio

My husband has received several messages from a CA. I finally called back for him to find out who they were and what account they were calling about. It's Nationwide Credit re an Amex account in the amount of $12K.

Once I found out what account they were calling about, I asked for a physical address so I could send a validation letter. The woman wouldn't give it to me, though I kept repeating my request. She passed me to someone else who also wouldn't give it to me. I told him to not contact us by phone anymore.

Here are my questions...

1. My name isn't on the account, I was just a user. Were they allowed to disclose the info to me?

2. Don't they HAVE to give me the address?

3. Does anyone have their address so I can send them a validation letter?

Any other information anyone has on these people would be greatly appreciated (such as...are they quick to file suit like some others?)

Thanks in advance for your help!

1 - Yes, they are allowed, a spouse is not considered a 3rd party.

2 - Yes, they are supposed to give you their name address, company name etc. when asked.

3 - Go to www.acainternational.com, click on the 'public site', then look for "Rosters" on the left side, choose 'collection agency members'. It'll take you to a search page where you can look for them.
