I am interested in obtaining an expungement without hiring an attorney. I know the forms that have to be filed (motion, order, and dismissal request) I need help on where to locate these forms for free (or close to free) and the proper procedure for submitting them. Obviously money is an issue for me so if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

You are looking for form AOC-CR-237. You can go to NC courts Website and do a search for this form. I just printed it myself. I have a question for you. Do you know if you can get a your record expungement if you where over the age of 21 at the time of the crime. It happen 10 years ago. I have no other charges and it was for a misdemeanor(shoplifting).

I am also interested if one can get their record expunged if you were over the age of 21 when you committed the crime. Also, I have the form AOC-CR-237 and have no clue what statue I am supposed to check. I had a misdeamoner of petit theft. Any help would be appreciated!
