What is the name of your state? Arizona.

yes the state that tries criminilizes everyone.

My question is for someone elses concerns they asked me to ask on here:

This persons' had his 2nd dui accident, he fell sleep at the wheel hit a pole, and had some narcolepsy and nocturnal siezure/tremor symptons tested in sleep studies from a state neurologist. He has a newborn baby at 1 month old now, his wife was not pregnant at the time of the accident. Its just too late for the city prosecutor to do anymore extensions which his lawyer is confident about now.. so any more tests still pending or scheduled for later date can not be continued. the question now is:

He going to have a plea of 4 months his lawyer says as from wha tthe prosecutor has not revised anything unfortuntely yet, so his lawyer says he'll be going to be taken into custody , taken to madison street or the 4th st. jail in phoenix, az for 30 days (which will be counted towards his 4 months towards the sentence of his time eventually in the state prison :/ , he's very remorseful, very respectfyul of the laws now, but still scared because of his family and his baby and the law forcing his wife to possibly go on welfare, He loves his family and newborn son soooo much that he has hoped for the scram bracelet or something of this caliber.
During this 30-days in the madison jail a probation officer, his lawyer says, will come visit him and talk to him about the plan of his probation. His lawyer says to tell the probation officer that he's done classes up until this time and completed them, he has a newborn baby 1 month old, and believes he will do really great with fullfilling/completing his probation plan. NOW, his lawyer says there are programs through sherrif joe or others that he can request to take which could possibly shorten his stay in jail/prison, such as "what is the ALPHA program"?
Preferrably i wondered if someone could give me a list of some of the programs that can be taken and what have the good outcomes been from taking them?? What is the best thing to say to the Probation Officers so they atleast just simply can see what my situation is in life and might consider the most minimal possible. And will this person be without a drivers license for 3 years after this felony?

lastly, his court is on Thursday this week the 25th, he wondered whats the most important things to hit on as far as subjects hif he's given one last person statement in the court before taken into custody that would be effective if Lucky??

Can prisoners or people in the madison jail brign their own books?
If this person going in to jail or prison & he has to take daily meds/medication for anxiety and depression, how will he be able to get refills for the time he's in jail then prison for a few months.

lastly, his tests of nocturnal sleep symptoms of tremors/siezures are exremely disturbing to his life and high risk but its not going to be enough to change the prosecutors mind, when he's in jail and has any problems in his sleep he is told to ask to be sent to the infirmary, is this the correct thing to request?

Paul, no offense, really, but you have asked these same questions repeatedly, the answers are the same, your brother was drunk, he was driving, he had an accident with his pregnant wife in the back seat of the vehicle, you have been through trying to prove that he was not in control of the vehicle, sleep disorders, and every other thing that either you or he can think of, others will check your previous posts.

He is going to jail, you can contact the Arizona Department of Corrections for information regarding what he can and cannot take with him and how he will get his medications.

I wondered if anyone could recommend the best advice for this question??

I was told there are small jobs in jail and or prison that you can get paid very small amounts of money for. Which job has been known to be the highest payed job in prison or jail? Is there a website with the jobs and the payrates listed? Just looking for the best recommendation even though i know its only going to be very small amounts of money.

Paul :)

Again, this is a question that can only be answered by the facility that houses your brother. Not all jails or prisons have jobs available, and they are generally given out based on a variety of criteria. These jobs are usually for the purpose of adding funds to the prisoners "book", don't think for a second that it is going to be anything close to assisting left behind, new mom.

He'll no doubt be tossing salad for the other prisioners. The compensation is being allowed to continue to breathe. Pack some KY for him... Bubba likes it that way. On visiting day he'll likely have a look on his face like --->

Most people who get sentenced for DUI go to tent city and they have a work release there. Is it a medical condition that is keeping him from going there? If it is, he will want to go to the 4th avenue Jail, that one is air conditioned at least, Madison is not. Trustees don't get paid in county jail, only in prison do inmates get paid for work. Although they do give you extra food trays, but no money. As far as books and magazines, you can't bring your own in, however, they do let publishers mail them in to you as long as there is no nudity in them. When they book him in he should tell them what medications he is on, it will probably be a couple of days before they get him on it unless it is life saving.
