:(What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Pennsylvania

Im a 20yr male that never had and traffic violations/citations or anything to do with the law.

this weekend i made the worse decision of my life. i decided to drink and i was not thinking at all. I got in the car with my friend that was intoxicated. i was drinking as well. Please dont judge me for my mistake but yes i was not thinking and i was being irresponsible and inconsiderate of others. my friend got a DUI and the PA state cop told me i was getting a citation in the mail (have not got it yet). I took a breathalizer test and obviously i did not pass. The cop said that i am getting a underage. I have a steady 50hr a week job and i drive and rent and live on my own. I consider myself pretty responsible but yet i still made the worse decision of my life!
can i have some advice on what i should do? i really cant afford to loose my license due to work and my beautiful girlfriend i wish to see. if i was thinking at the time i wouldnt of got myself into this.

If i fight the fine, is it possible for me to take UA classes and pay a fine? i want to avoid anything on my record.

Thank you

IDK about the laws up north but I have no clue why you were breathalized, I lost my licence at 20 but I was driving and I got away with a suspended licence. You shouldnt loose your licence because you wernt driving. you will probably get a fine and maybe probation or something but you should still be able to drive... learn from your friends mistake because loosing your licence is a horrible experience

You're kidding, right? Minor passenger in a vehicle with drunken driver, you don't think the kid is going to smell like's been drinking especially since he WAS drinking? Seriously, exactly how hard do you think it would be for the cop to articulate PC?

It doesent matter if the passenger has been drinking the DUI goes to the driver, all that he should get is a Underage drinking violation and that is a fine and MAYBE probation. He should be fine when it comes to his driving privlages. There was no since in Breathalizing him if he admited to drinking he was not in physical control of the vehicle! When I was pulled over my friends were tanked and nothing happened to them I just lost my licence

Roam since you are ignorant of "up north" perhaps you should avoid arguing with us Yankees. An underage drinking citation in PA results in a 90 day suspension for the first offense, year for the second, two for the third. It matters not if they were driving or in a car or not.
