A friend of mine had her husband leave her after his mom took their youngest daughter while he was supposed to be out of town on business. This all happened at the end of June. Well they've had no court date as of yet, he has an attorney but she has no income and does not, She answered, and contested the divorce but now he stopped paying his attorney. He moved in with his super controllig mom and I found out that they have been "seeing each other' and getting along etc. I think it is a mistake but i wonder if they aren't trying to reconcile. Still I've never heard of a divorce pending this long without SOME action. What will happen if neither of them ever do anything regarding the divorce... I mean she alreayd answered and contested hes made no attempt to move back hoem and I doubt his mom would let him (hes in his late 30s) I just want to understand the process in Texas. It seems there is a lot that is different here than in other states. I think it is a mistake for her to take him back but love is deaf dumb and blind his family and he have put her through HELL. But she's sticking it out and trying and it's literally killing her. Please tell me what happens, if there is any advice I can give her, etc...

It can go on literally until 'death do us part' if neither party pushes it through.

Fortunately, it's not your business. The best advice you can give her is for her to come here, create her own account and ask her own questions.
