What is the name of your state?tx
I am getting ready to file next month. I need to know what should I do when I go to attorny's office for filing? Like what things I need to check and make sure everything is correct. Also how would I confirm whether Attorney has really filed my case or not. Is there a way to find out from the court if they have received my papers?

My attorney wanted all recent CC bills so his office was able to contact the creditors and have the most accurate information about my balances. You'll have to provide information concerning your necessary expenses like car payment, rent, utilities and so on. If you have a good attorney he/she will fill in the other information like your food, church and other 'things' that makes your necessary expenses higher. I needed to be 'creative' with my #s since I was on the boarder of chapter 13.

You can probably verify through the BK court if your case has been filed. Go there in person and look your name up on the computer.

I hope this helps a little... Good luck w/your case.
