What is the name of your state? Pennsylvannia I have to go to prison on Feb 11 2005 for two months. The reason why I am supposed to go is because I am charged with driving a vehicle while my drivers liscense in under suspension DUI related. I don't want to go to prison so I am going to move to Florida. If I come in contact with police in Florida will a warrant in peensylvannia cause me to become incarcerated in Florida? Will a Bench Warrant in Pennsylvannia be honored by police in Florida. Will police in Florida make me serve my time in Pennsylvannia?

Let me get this straight. You don't want to do 2 months in prison and get it over with so you're going to flee to Florida, have a warrant issued for escape and a federal charge with attendent additional prison time added once you are caught.

My response:

I want life to be a surprise for you. It makes living much more exciting!

You'll have fun looking over your shoulder everyday. And, when you're driving, and you see those blue and red lights behind you, you'll become another "police chase" for the evening news!

Help you? You have got to be kidding.

My response:

You really ARE stupid!

Did you think it was "lawful" to drive on a suspended license?

Yes, my friend, you ARE a criminal. Why do you think you're supposed to be going to jail - - because you're one of the "good" guys?

Yes. That's quite obvious from your writing style and your use of English grammar and spelling. :p

"Bad luck"?

It's bad luck to leave your wallet on the dresser at home in the morning ... it's an intentional criminal act to drive on a suspended license or DUI.

If your license is suspended in PA, it will be suspended in FL as well. For a misdemeanor they probably won't extradite you from the Sunshine State, but you won't be able to legally drive there, either.

Oh, and they can put you in jail for DUI in FL as well ... so now you know. In fact, they can do that in all 50 states.

So, where you gonna run when FL starts to close in on you?

And remember, while a fugitive, most public assistance, government loans (school, etc.), and many decent jobs will not be open to you. So, have fun.

Running..

You simply need to do your time, and get it over with! Here is an example why. One of my son's friends was on probation. He only had 1 MONTH left to complete his time. He quit reporting to his parole officer, so his parole officer put out a fugitive warrant. He was arrested. He has been sitting in our county's jail for 6 months. Fugitive charges were added to his original charge. He is looking at a LOT of additional time, because he RAN.

I am reiterating, DO YOUR TIME!!! Get it over with. If you don't, when you least expect it.. a month from now... 10-20 years from now... it WILL catch up with you! Warrants are forever.

Sorry, I meant he was on PAROLE, not probation..
