I live in New Hampshire and I just recently got pregnant. My new fiance needs a place to live. He has a bad credit report, to which he is contesting. My landlord states in the lease agreement that anyone whom lives an apartment, must be added to the lease. I am willing to fully take on all responsibilities for rental costs, and any damage that may occur. I know that the landlord will do a credit check on him. What are my rights as a tennant? Can they refuse to have my future husband, and father of my child live with me?

To respond to your melodrama about "Can they refuse to have my future husband, and father of my child live with me? ", the answer is yes, of course, the landlord rented the apartment to YOU, he is willing to consider the boyfriend, but he has a choice about who may occupy his premises. If you want to be together, you can always move.

You best shot is to discuss the matter with your landlord in person, both of you. Be completely honest and upfront with the landlord, and tell him everything, and accept his decision.
