Hello, this sunday I was served with a lawsuit and I am unsure as to what to do.

I am in Michigan.

here is the situation.

We formed a corp, (C Corp) and then leased a space in a building. This was a 3 yr lease. I signed the lease for the Corp.

Fast forward. I left the corp, and revoked any ownership and ivolvement in the corp. (as of 8-1-99).

The people that I left the company to folded. Moved out in Sept, and did not satisfy the lease.

Because I am named on the lease, they are takin suit at me.
and are Sueing me for the $ from 9-99 to 5-00. Total of 6500.00.

What can I do?

Things of note: I am listed as the defendant d/b/a Evolution Comminications. However, the company was a corp and not a d/b/a.

Thank you.
