What is the name of your state? PA

I went down to Daytona beach, FL in July. I was heavily intoxicaited the time the officer pulled me over. He asked me if he could administer a breathalizer, and I replied "*****" because I was so drunk. Then he started to beat the **** out me for no appearent reason. Also he merc'd my boy in the back seat who happened to be passed out. He then literally pulled both of us to the side of the road and began batting me across the head with his night stick. The officer was laughing and saying racial slures like "you like that n*gg*r?!" also "your people don't belong here".. When this was all going on, I'm like "WTF? I'm white and so is my friend". The officer started to calm down and began to apologize.

He hand cuffed me and just tossed my friend right into me, in the back of his car. While he was takeing us down he just said "I'm just booking you for DUI and not for the assault on an officer". At this point I didn't want any problems and just replied "Thanks".

So, first dui and all.. What am I looking at here? Do I need an attorney or just wing it?

You need a lawyer and to clean up your language before you show up in court.

Your message was unintelligible because the forum software filters out the profanity and there isn't enough left to render much of an opinion.

I suspect the fact that you were by your own admission "heavily intoxicated" means you are guilty of DUI and your recollection of the total chain of events is highly suspect. You are lucky you didn't get charged with more.

First thing you need to do is request a hearing with the FDHSMV. If not, kiss your license good by for at least six months automatically.

For DUI:

Once convicted you're looking at $250-$1000 in fines and could spend up to nine months in jail or detox. Your license is gone for at least 180 days and perhaps up to a year. The hardship license is probably not going to be an option from you as a punk from out of state, but to do so you would need to complete the Florida DUI school.

If they charge you with refusal, the suspension goes up to a year automatically.

There are also special rules for those under 21.
