I recieved a ticket in the mail yesturday (May 9th), for an incident that occured on September 15th of 2000. It's for disorderly conduct. Can they wait that long before charging me with this? I thought they only had 10 days to charge me, not 8 months! Please help, I live in Wisconsin, thanks

There is generally a one year limit on misdemeanors and other minor crimes. It is up to 10 years on most felonies and and there are no limits for capital crimes. They got you well within the limits.
