What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

Anyone here familiar with responding to Getting Images Image Licensing Claiming?
I have been trying to respond to them but I am not getting through;
maybe I don't speak their legal language.

1. My designer used an image from their site to create a rotating banner
2. My client received a letter from them for a fee just over $1K
3. My designer said that the image was free at the time

That banner was taken down, right away
The site has been online for less then 6 months
The money they are asking is too much for the site worth or usage

Need someone that can help me handle them or respond to them to lower or remove the cost.

It isn't going to get cheaper.

Pay the fee.

You do not want to get into a copyright fight with Getty.

Next time, get permission to use an image in writing.
