I refinanced my home 4 years ago with Countrywide. Since my credit rating wasn't in great shape I was told to do an adj rate mortgage for 3 years and then refinance to get a better rate. Well I did just that... Last year right when my loan was about to adjust I was contacted by Fidelity Mortgage to refinance with a good rate,so started the process with them. A few days into it I get a call from Countrywide and was told that they can give me an even better deal if I stay with them. Which they offered 6.00 then Fidelity at 6.75. So I cancelled the process with Fidelity and went with Countrywide. I was sent the paperwork,I signed and sent it back in and got an appraisal done on my home. About 4 weeks later they contacted me stating I need to have my pool closed before they can give me they can refinance me ( My inground pool had collapsed). It took me about a month to get the pool closed, and I send them in the paper work for the pool to show it was closed. The guy says he will submit the papers to the loan department. I call about 2 weeks later since I didnt get an answer and he states that I need to have some repairs done on my home. I told him I didnt have the money and it would take a few months and if he would like he can keep the money in escrow and proceed with the loan. They refused. Fidelity at that time wasnt able to offer me the same loan anymore. So I went to have the repairs done on my home. It took another month. Submitted the paperwork to Countrywide again and then they tell me That they have to go through the whole process again, to much time has passed and I would need to reapply. I reapplied again and was given a 9% loan. I refused. Since then my payments have gone up to 3200 a month and my rate is 11.875%. My credit is horrible because I cant afford to pay my other financial obligations because I use all my income on the mortgage and neccessities. I called countrywide on April 21 and asked to do a loan modification. I submitted the paper work they requested. On April 28th I contacted them again to check the status. They asked for more paperwork. Which I submitted. On May 8th called again and was told it would take 30 days to get a negotiator from April 21. On May 21 I called to see if a negotiator was assigned and was told that I need to wait 45 days from April 21st. I called again on June 3 and was told that the first representitive I had spoken to didnt file the paperwork properly and they need to resubmit everything. They said they would speed it up because of the fact I had already been waiting 45 days. I called again today and they told me it hasnt been sent to a negotiator because I need to resubmit new up to date paperwork. I feel like I am getting the run around everytime I call these people. Nobody can tell me whats going on. I get a complete different story each time. I dont know what else to do.. Can anybody help me??
