I live in New Mexico. I'am currently selling a 1934A $1,000 Federal Reserve Note on ebay. I have received a couple of emails saying it was fake. But I took it to the bank and in return they ran it through the Secret Service of the USA. In return they stated it was authentic. But I'm still kind of nervious about it. So I would like to put a legal disclamer on it. But I dont want to scare people off. In the auction it already stats there is no returns all sales are final. can you please help me out thx.

What is the objective -- to get the actual cash value of the note or to see if it has some numismatic type collector value above that?

If the former, sell it through a regular bank or securities house and save yourself the hassle and risk. If the latter, check the value with a currency colletor firm first.

As for a disclaimer, state that you will guarantee the currency is genuine and valid and are willing to keep the purchase price in escrow for 30 days following the auction so the buyer can validate that on his or her own.
