Im a single mom I have two girls that live out in California with their daddy, I send him money every 2 wks. I ocasionally send them gifts and I am wondering if that can also be considered as a form support? Might sound kinda stange but I was told that it was,is this true or false?

In Az that is an incorrect statement for the most part, there is an opportunity for that to be into play, if it is money or real property making money contributing to the family. However, if you are sending 200.00 per month and a care package, that care package cannot be used in the calculation of support.

In most states, if not all, I gifts are not considered payment towards child support. In florida, if I give my son money directly, it too is not considered child support. It is considered a gift from me to him, just as a birthday or christmas gift.
