Sister needs a lawyer involving custody a child but cannot afford one. Family is there for morale support but also not financially able to. Are there any other resources for her or is she on her own?

Call your state bar assn and get a listing of atty's that do pro bono work in your state, also try your legal aide society, it should be listed in your phone book.
Good luck.

Another option, depending upon the relationship with her and her soon to be X; would be a "do it yourself" divorce. This is only successful if the 2 divorcing can agree on EVERYTHING. If not, then attorneys are needed. Good luck!
