What is the name of your state? pa. have need of help after 16 years my daughters father now wants custody of her ,she does not want to live with him ,she just wants to spend a few hours on weekends like before when he had time.does she have a choice of what she wants to do , she is not comfortable around him.he has a lawyer for the custody ,has not come down to court yet.

OP - she can talk to the judge and the judge may or may not take her wishes into consideration...

What is his basis for asking for custody? What change of circumstance is he claiming?

Unless there is something fairly serious going on, it would be rather unusual for a judge to change custody against the will of an older teenager.

However, if he has an attorney, it would be wise for you to get one as well.
