NEED QUICK ADVICE!! (awol post)

What is the name of your state?

well I planed on leaving today but I guess since there is a chance of getting picked off at the airport there is no way im ganna fly...so ill prob. just take the drive...does anyone know how late you can show up to fort sill on tuesday and still have a chance to get out friday??? my drive kinda sucks so I wouldnt show up till tuesday nite..PLEASE HELP!! thanks...

p.s. I know taken83over just went threw this..did you see anyone show up late tuesday and get out with you?? thanks for all the help guys...

Actually yes. There were a couple who showed up late Tuesday and still got processed and went to ACAP with us on Wednesday. But I would not count on this happening on a weekly basis. Your best bet, is to get there before noon on Tuesday if at all possible. If that can happen, you will do a little paper work and get briefed, and then go to lunch. After lunch you will go in process with the rest of the people, and be on track to leave Friday. It is very much possible that you can still in process on Wednesday though. I seen it happen.

Yes, but they all went AWOL from AIT/BCT.

The female I talked to was arrested a few months after she went AWOL. Mp's came and picked her up from a local jail after 5-6 day's and they bought her a bus ticket to Ft. Sill. She was out processed just like everyone else. She was AWOL from AIT, and was NG from what she told me. Only problem she had, was that she arrived on a Thursday. So she had to stay a few extra day's because she got there so late.

hey taken83over how many guys showed up late tuesday...and do you know how late they showed up??

There were two who showed up late Tuesday. They showed up between 6pm-8pm. I do not recommend showing up late Tuesday. Better safe (showing up early, and be gone by Friday), then sorry(showing up late, and having to stay a extra week).

Hey taken83Over I am currently in Awol status just waiting to out process at ft sill can you answer a couple of questions for me...I call the deserters hotline to find out when I have been dropped from the rolls right? what do i say to them? and another thing is how long did it take for you to get dropped from the rolls after your 30 day awol period? can anyone answer these questions for me?
