Ok, so I'm not sure if I'm in the right place here but I wanted to post this quickly before I went out.

Basically, I have come back to England where I originally lived for a vacation, one of the other reasons whether or not posting on this board will help as its based in the US, but anyway, last night I got into some trouble with the police regarding a "BB Gun" which fires small round plastic balls.

Me and two friends (anonymous for the time being) had planned to go swimming and they came around to mine (2 of us 17, the other 18) and we started playing around with a imitation shotgun that fired BB's, after firing it at eachother and having fun with it, it somehow ended up in my friends car where we held it out the window at a few friends and didn't really take much care to conceal it as it had been sold to my younger brother (13) as a toy and there was no intention of firing or hurting anyone.

Anyway, our night didn't go as planned as we were going to go swimming but the diving boards were closed so that idea was kind of shot so we continued to drive around and was eventually stuck for what to do so ended up waiting for my girlfriend in a small lay-by next to the main road. We left this place and went to Tesco (supermarket) to buy some food and then returned to the lay but a bit further along, we saw 2 police cars, 1 unmarked and 1 marked on our way back but disregarded it.

We got out the car and started looking in the estate agents window at properties to rent because we were bored and wanted to pass some time, we were then approached by a lady in a shirt and trousers to later find out she was a police officer and shortly after this a police van pulled up and immediately they spotted the "BB Gun" in the back of my friends car.

After all the nonesense of being arrested for possesion of a imitation gun, being held in a cell for 6 hours, giving a audio recorded statement and also providing fingerprints & DNA I was released on bail without a final decision.

I have one of two problems; the decision can be either a final warning for me as I previously had one or it can be a court date where it prolongs.

The ultimate problem I face is that i need to be back in america in a few days and I've been told to stay in england for the next 4 weeks untill a decision has been made and that this decision could affect my chances of even getting back into america.

I need some help, it was a silly childish mistake and i honestly regret it.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: They also searched all 3 of our houses, but did not think to look in my brothers bedroom to where i admitted i found the imitation weapon as there were 3 more BB guns sitting on his desk, I do not understand the english police force. I was also well treated at the police station, its just ashame of the outcome.

FYI, I didn't see a question in your posted situation, nor do I think anyone here can be of much help since the board rules specifically state it is for questions regarding US law.

All I can say is: Good luck.
