What is the name of your state? Tn/Ky

In my husband's parenting plan it says that each party is to give the other party notice by letter as to when they elect to take summer visitation. The problem is my husban's ex has had a restraining order put on my husband since the parenting plan was set. The restraining order is in Ky the Ky attorney said that if my husband's sends her the letter he can get in trouble. He asked his attorney in Tn to send one and he said no that he could send it himself or that I could but I am not a parent to the child so I don't think it is my place to send her a letter. We don't know what to do any ideas please?

not sure

I'm not even sure that it's still her attorney the last time they were in court was August of last year should he send it anyways? Also on a added note they have a court date in August to review transportation and exhchanging the child can my husband ask for modifications of some things in his plan or is that not a good idea.

Attorney

He asked the attorney to do it, but the attorney said he would not do it because he shouldn't have to do it that my husband could or I could but we can't send it because my husband will break the dvo order and I am not a parent to the child. My husband told the attorney if he couldn't do it that he no longer needed his services so I guess he is going to try to find someone that will send it for him.

Yes, he should still send it to her attorney. In addition, if he's not permitted to contact her, then he's likely not permitted to contact her via someone like yourself or a friend. He really HAS to go through a lawyer or mediator.

He may want to consider petitioning the court to have a mediator appointed who would act as the go-between for these issues.

Thank You

Thanks for the advice. He went and seen another attorney yesterday and that is basically what he said now that she has this dvo it really makes alot of issues with the parenting plan they have. The attorney yesterday though wanted 3500.00 to go through all of this he said that the last attorney really didn't do that good of a job for my husband and there were alot of issues that needed to be gone over.
