I filed for my default hearing on Tues Aug 9th. My soon-to-be ex husband was at his lawyer's office on Mon filling out the response to the divorce. He signed part of it that day & signed the rest on Tues, while I was filing for my default hearing. His lawyer didn't file his paperwork until Wed. Do I still get the default or not? Also he wants to try to get sole custody of our son.

The odds of either one of you getting sole custody are fairly slim. Judges rarely award sole custody to either parent.
