What is the name of your state? california
My ex boyfriend and I were in a very bad relationship and about 6 months ago we went to court for domestic violence charges where I was given a protective order against him. We continued to date anyways. Then on June 30th I caught him with another girl and I stupidly on purpose used my back bumper of my car to smash his. I got arrested for assult with a deadly weapon. Anyways, they placed a restraining order against me for him. But, we since then have resumed seeing eacother again. Now, we began fighting so he is threatening that he is going to have me arreted for violating the restraining order. Can he?

Yep

Just as if your RO is still in tact you could do the same.

I am not saying that it should be done, but yes it's legal.

It used to be that if there is an RO and the 'victim' voluntarily makes contact the RO is void but more and more judges are not taking that angle anymore

How old are you?

Good lord, what will it take for the two of you to call it quits?

You can both go to jail for violating orders. And, frankly, if I were the one contacting you, I'd hook you both up.

Neither one of you can voluntarily void the order - it has to be done through a court. And if either one of them is a Criminal Protective order, it is not likely to happen (that is an order granted after court by the judge as a result of the suspect's criminal charges and not a request for a domestic violence or civil restraining order).

One or both of you will be going to jail before this is over.

All as I can say is if you make your bed sleep in it .

The bed will be in jail and you'll get 3 squares a day .

Now what would you prefer , to dump the lifestyle , the jerks , or spend some lock down time ?
