What is the name of your state? nc
Okay, first I want to says a big thanks to sassy for the info in the chatroom the other night.
Next, here's my situation: http://www.creditboards.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=15922
Now, if these idiots send me a "Go get a life, we are not doing anything" letter, where exactly do I need to go to start a lawsuit or lawsuits? If I choose NOT to start a lawsuit after sending this letter, can this come back to haunt me?
I know there are two seperate issues here, US Bankruptcy law and FCRA. I have read some posts, but am very confused. I do not want to have to fork out big money or hardly any money for that matter because I do not have it. What would anyone that has done this recommend?
Also, to my assumptions, I will have to take up the Bk violations with the US Bankruptcy courts, is this correct? Then, can FCRA violations be taken up in small claims court, and if so, can you get the $1000 per violation in small claims? Finally, which small claims court do I need to contact to start a lawsuit and where can I find a directory? I assume that it should be MY local small claims court.
