There is a lot that seems off with the described situation but, according to the Georgia Legal Aid information provided earlier, a "Petition for Legitimation is usually filed in the Superior Court in the county where the mother lives ... the petition can be filed in the county where the father lives."
The father and/or mother might live in Florida. Wouldn't child support payments be pursued in the state where the parent(s) live?
