What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FLORIDA

A son was originally listed on his parents' property (home) deed in 2005. A few years later, one parent died. After, the surviving parent refinanced his mortgage. The son was a co-signor for this mortgage. The son assumed his name remained on the deed. The son just found out that his name was removed from the deed. How does the son now add his name back to this deed? How long does this process take?

A person cannot be just "removed" from the deed. They would have SIGNED a deed, out, of their interest in order to be removed.

Visit the register of deeds office and get copies of the last two or three deeds of record and verify the chain of title (or pay a local title company to obtain them if you live out of area), because it sounds like someone does not have their facts straight. If dad wants his son on the deed, he certainly can add him.
