i purchased my property at a forclosure auction from a bank.the land was not surveyed at the time of purchase. i have had it surveyed and the neighbor was claiming more land than he owned he also has his driveway on my property. he has stoped mowing the land but still uses the driveway. he bought his land about 7 to 10 years ago but didn't have it surveyed at the time he purchased it he said he measured it from a old fence line. can i fence off the drive. he has access to his property from the other side of his land. I think the law on prescriptive easement is 20 years in the state of illinois. please help me. i purchased this land last june.
