Neighbors land caught on fire and burned my fence, can I sue?

Under NC law can I sue my neighbor for the fire that burned a huge chunk of my fence?
He has a large amount of land that he's yet to build on but a fire started and spread. The damage to my fence was pretty bad. What can I do about it?
