My son is a resident of and was involved in an auto accident in Nevada. The fault is 100% the other driver's. The other vehicle was a commercial truck carrying a tractor on a trailer. The tires on the trailer came off (the tractor was too large for trailer) and my son could not swerve in time to miss them. The end result, my son's car burned to the ground... he had some minor pains but nothing serious. The commercial driver was cited. My question... the other insurance co. wants to settle plus "a few hundred" extra (?) it sounds fishy to me. Does he need a lawyer?
