I purchased a vehicle in Florida on July 10 of this year. I paid cash for it (a little over $25000). I informed them when I bought it that I attended college in Maine and that I needed my title sent up here. They said ok and took down my address. It is October 18 and I have yet to receive my title. I was told it was sent to the county in Georgia where I used to live and then from there it was sent to Atlanta to be made into a new title. I have called all three places and everyone says there is nothing they can do. I have been two months without driving my car and I am getting very angry. Without my title since i do not have a lienholder Maine will not register my car. Is there anything i can do legally to make the process go any faster or to find out where my title is?

Have an attorney in FL write them a letter saying that if they don't get you a title, you will either rescind the sale & demand your entire $25,000 back or rent a car & sue them for the fees, since you can't drive the car because of their screw up.
