I live in Florida. My husband and I signed paperwork for a new SUV on Saturday, 3/30/02. The dealer said that they still needed to verify our pay off on our trade in and also check with the banks for financing availability and APR. They had us sign paperwork with an outrageous APR. They told us this is worse case scenario. That it was more than likely we would have a lending institution give us a better rate than the one being offered. They said we would know for sure on Monday, 4/1/02. They insisted we take the new vehicle home with us and changed our tag to the new SUV. We are now very disappointed with our desicion and want to know if there is a grace period before the contract is set in stone. The dealership said the rates could change and go higher or lower and it is possible we would not be financed. If they can change their minds then I am assuming we can too. If we go in on Monday, 4/1/02 and tell them we changed our minds about the purchase can there be legal action against us?
