California-
OK, I gotta know something here. My X said she was barly making ends meet. My CS was lowered. Then 4 months later she went out and bought a new car, not just a new car, but it is loaded. Everything from simple window tenting to CD, to seat warmer. I mean she spent a pretty penny on this thing. I know she got a raise. Guessing on her current spending sprees a good raise. I will find out in a couple of months exactly how much of a good raise. I'm sending her a I&E decloration in 2 months . She is really good at hiding assets. Is this new car going to lower her income as a liability? Will her new car raise my support? This might sound like a stupid question, but I'm worried.
I already know I am going to get flack from moms out there. They are always upset when Dad's check on thier income. However, if a mom found out dad was bringing home some primium bacon they'd be doing the same thing. Am I right?
thanks for your advice

when ever either party has a raise is should be reported to the courts. if you feel she has had a raise recently you are within your rights to excercise that feeling. you both will have to show a judge recent pay stubs, tax records, etc. then a judge will decide.

just know it does work both ways.

good luck;)

Generally,

in California the courts don't care about most of your liabilities. I beleive the only liabilites that they take into account are child support for other children, health insurance for the children, and extraordinary medical expenses.

So just her buying a new car will not affect your support payment.
