New City Sign No Parking Vehicles over 5 Feet. Can the city do that?
The city of Santa Monica put a new sign in front of my apartment building. There is no change to this area and no special circumstances that I am aware of. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?
At first I assumed they were just trying to restrict big rig and campers. But then I realized when I stand next to my mini-van is higher than me so that means the city is restricting parking of any SUV pickup and van! Is this social reconstruction? The city is trying to force people to get smaller cars?
I am livid and outraged and ready to attack this full force.
It is not a building I live in, just a LL.
A reason I overheard while trying to reach someone at city hall was that so drivers can see people as they use the cross walk.
I have several objections: city doesn’t care about anyone under 5 feet?
