What is the name of your state?VA I have been on here before and asked about my custody situation, but there are new things going on that I would like to get some advice about. To give you a short recap of things, my son and daughter have been living with their father for about 3 years. Three years ago I allowed him to keep them because I had no home for them and no job, and I was working through an addiction. I have a court date on January 25th and some new things have come to my attention. Aside from my daughter telling her teachers that her daddy beat her with a belt, and social services only giving him a warning, no we are dealing with some emotional issues with Brittaney (7) that are really scaring me. It has been brought to my attention by the school officials that Brittaney is making herself throw up, she has regressed to baby talk, she is always sad, she lies and steals, and she constantly tells them that she wants to live with her mommy. While I am glad that she wants to live with me, I am very upset by these other things she is doing to get attention. I have made numerous appointments for her to see a counselor but her dad refuses, even after being told by the school that she needs it. He is so driven by this need of his to hurt me that he is overlooking the fact that Brittaney is the one that is really suffering. Also, her dad was told that she needed to see a dentist because several of her teeth were rottening. He made one appointment, and was told by the Dentist that she would nave to be seen 2 times a month for 6 months to get all her teeth fixed. He has not taken her back, and uses the excuse, "oh they are only going to fall out anyway, why pay to have them pulled" while that may be true Brittaney has alot of pain sometimes when she eats, and is very ashamed of the front tooth that is rotten, and has stated to me that she doesnt smile because of her rotten tooth. His backward thinking and need for revenge is ruining my daughter...What do I have to do to make the judge see that she is troubled and he wont help her? I would appreciate any advice that anyone can give me. thanks

You provide proof to the judge, but keep in mind you gave them away and you have a big hill to climb.

Good Luck

attorney???

Can anyone recommend an attorney in Roanoke Virginia? I have spoken to several but all want a retainer of 3000.00. I know this is a complex case, but isn't there anyone that has a reasonable retainer? The last time we were in court I took an attorney that was 600.00 reatainer, and he didn't do s*** for me. Im not taking him again, and I don't want to hire someone just because they are cheap, but I really need help here. HELP PLEASE!!!!
