we just purchased a new home 3 1/2 weeks ago in tennessee. the house is located at the end of a cove down a hill. we knew there would be concerns about how the water would drain into our yard. we addressed this with the builder and even had it written in the contract. the yard was to be grated and a swell created on the side yard to stop the water from creating a gully on the side of the house where the gas line was run. the water by the way is coming from the neighbor that lives next door. it runs through the drain under his driveway and over his driveway down the side of our yard and through the front of our yard into the back yard of the neighbors to the right of us. mud has packed up against our front porch about a foot, 15ft of gas line is now exposed from the gully wash on the side yard(we did call the gas company). the builder did tell me this morning he would come back and grade the yard again, however that is not going to prevent this problem from reoccuring every time. please help.

NOT an insurance law question but a real estate one. Sorry, I'd see the lawyer who helped with the contract to buy the home and/or the closing and/or the realtor ivolved.
