Divorced and paying child support faithfully for four years, first to my X and then her lawyer talked her into wage garnishment which is hurting my kids her and me..... Every week my pay check is garnished 200.00 and where it goes from there is a mystery to me? I work for a very very small company and have known my boss personally for 23 years. he is suppose to send in my 200.00 every week sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn't he has been warned twice to do so. For the last three years we have been supposedly been in arreaers in amounts as 1000.00. But like I said it comes out of my check every week and I have every pay stub to prove it... The proplem is the state of New Jersey considers me and my boss as one person and I am held responsible for the arrearage. My new wife has been dealing with the state probation dept and the state tax offset unit dept and even the govenor . No one wants to help or explain why the system is set up this way. OR DON'T THEY KNOW? the never ending phone calls, letters , and visits she has made in the last three years you can't count. I have not seen any one with this problem yet. The state has taken my tax return one year tried again last year but we were too fast filing and we just got a letter saying their coming for it again. This is on my credit report and is ruining my chance to buy a house especially after having to file bankruptsy because of the divorce. My boss doesn't believe me. and this is so unfair cause i'm not a DEAD BEAT DAD and I see my kids every week and sometimes have them more then my X. and believe it or not were friends through it all thanks to the influence of my new wife If anyone out ther has any advice or an answer please help me I can't take much more of this beuratic B.S. thanks for listening!!!!!!!!!!!!! dd2530

You're right that was crappy advice.............. Because it was a lawyer, a very good one (LOL!) who got me where I am today. I don't have any trust for them any more. The lawyer cost me my house anything in it that was mine and $ 13,000.00 in paper, staples, and paper clips............ So I will leave it up to my wife as usual because she is the only one who knows what she's doing and the heck with the legal system. They only hire idiots who don't know their butts from their elbows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for the advice anyway.
