What is the name of your state?Maryland

I live in an apartment complex with 6 other families in this building. This past Friday some new neighbors moved there furnishings in. They hadn't been in the apartment 24 hours and police surrounded our building and wouldn't let anyone in or out. Three teenagers were handcuffed and laid out on the grass. Forensics, ambulances, and at least 11 plus police cars lined up our court. Apparently someone inside the apartment of the new tenants shot himself in the face with a 22 caliber rifle. No one can confirm anything but there is also the question about whether or not someone else shot him from inside the apt. I am not sure if he died. Here is what i am sure of. I want these tenants out of this building or I want out of the lease. There are 4 out of 6 families in this building alone with kids. Had that bullet missed that easily could have been one of the children. What legally can be done in order to ensure these tenants go? If nothing can be done regarding the tenants what rights do we have in terms of being let out of the lease due to this incident? Please advise. Thanks
