What is the name of your state? Virginia
We are tentants to a house that has been put on the market. Our lease doesn't end until another 18 months.
Can a new owner to the house make any changes to our rent payment or terminate the lease? If so what is the notice period?

**A: yes, he can reduce your rent payment but you do not have to agree.

or terminate the lease?

**A: no, the lease survives the sale. A;; termns and conditions remain. The only thing that changes is that you will have a new landlord at closing.
