los Angeles, CA. I had a new roof put on in Feb 99 for $4590. The roof has continued to leak in an entirely different area through my ceiling! nice size hole. They have tried to patch it, somewhat blaming it on the A/C. They sub contracted an AC guy to remove and replace the A/C before putting on the roof. Per the contract the warranty does not cover leaks from the A/C. I know they are trying to blame the A/C so they will not be responsible. I never had this leak prior to them replacing the roof. I want to go to small claims court and request the full amount to be returned to me. Is this possible or do i need to get new estimates of roof replacement costs as well as ceiling repair. how can i best be prepared?
